Where SavPay Uses AI
SavPay uses generative AI in the following places, and only these places:
- Website live chat. The chat widget on savpay.ca is powered by Anthropic’s Claude model. It answers general questions about our products, pricing structure, and Canadian payments. It is clearly labelled when active.
- Internal drafting and research. Our team uses AI to draft marketing copy, summarize support tickets, and brainstorm — all reviewed by humans before being published or actioned.
Where AI Is Not Used
The following decisions are made by humans — not by AI, and not by automated scoring derived from AI:
- Merchant approval and underwriting.
- Pricing offered to a specific merchant.
- Capital / merchant cash advance approval, terms, and limits.
- Account closure, freeze, or risk-related action.
- Dispute and chargeback handling.
- Any decision required by law or partner program to be reviewable by a person.
You will never receive an underwriting outcome, a price, or a risk action from a machine alone at SavPay.
Data Handling
- The chat widget sends only the text of the conversation to Anthropic’s API to generate a reply.
- SavPay does not send personally identifying merchant information, banking details, card numbers, or transaction data to any AI model provider.
- Per our agreement with Anthropic, chat content is not used to train Anthropic’s foundation models.
- If you need to share sensitive information, use info@savpay.ca or call +1 (514) 863-6540 instead of the chat widget.

Human Escalation
You can request a human at any point in the chat by typing “human” or asking for a person. Sales and support are reachable Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–4:30 PM EST at +1 (514) 863-6540 or info@savpay.ca.
Outside business hours, calls are transferred to our processor partners’ 24/7 support lines.
