CASL & Do Not Call Policy
How SavPay handles commercial electronic messages, SMS, and outbound telemarketing calls.
Last updated: June 2026
Identification Block (CASL § 6(2))
Every commercial electronic message (CEM) sent by SavPay identifies the sender and provides a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (S.C. 2010, c. 23).
SavPay — trade name of 9499-8390 Québec Inc.
Montréal, Québec, Canada

How We Obtain Consent
SavPay only sends commercial email or SMS to people who have given express or implied consent under CASL. Express consent is collected through:
- Opt-in checkboxes on our rate-analysis, contact, and newsletter forms (always unchecked by default).
- Direct email or written request from a merchant or prospect.
Implied consent is recognized for existing business relationships and inquiries within the timeframes set by CASL § 10(9), and is logged with the source and date. We maintain consent records for the periods required by law and partner program requirements.
Unsubscribe
Every commercial message from SavPay includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by:
- Emailing info@savpay.ca with your address or phone number.
- Replying STOP to any SavPay SMS.
- Calling +1 (514) 863-6540 during business hours.
Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days, as required by CASL § 11.
National Do Not Call List (DNCL)
SavPay subscribes to the CRTC National Do Not Call List and screens outbound telemarketing calls against it before dialling. We do not call numbers registered on the DNCL except where a CRTC-recognized exemption applies (existing business relationship, express consent, etc.).
If you receive a call from SavPay that you believe was made in error:
- Ask the caller to add your number to our internal Do Not Call list — your request takes effect immediately and is retained indefinitely.
- Email info@savpay.ca to record the same request in writing.
- You may also register your number with the CRTC at lnnte-dncl.gc.ca.
Outbound calls are made only between 9:00 AM and 9:30 PM local time on weekdays, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on weekends, per CRTC rules.
Complaints
Complaints about a SavPay message or call can be filed directly with us at info@savpay.ca. We acknowledge complaints within two business days. You may also escalate to the regulator:
- CASL violations — Spam Reporting Centre, fightspam.gc.ca
- DNCL complaints — CRTC at lnnte-dncl.gc.ca
